Banana “Ice Cream” / Crème Glacée aux Bananes

IMG_2398Quick and healthy ice cream, without an ice cream maker… It’s feasible! It literally takes maximum 5 minutes of active work, which makes it perfect for our busy lifestyles. For this recipe, you need to use frozen bananas. You can easily freeze them on Sunday and use throughout the week.

Freezing bananas:

  1. Cut 2 ripe bananas into ½ inch thick slices
  2. Place them on parchment paper in a freezer friendly tray/plate
  3. Freeze for 2 hours before transferring them to a freezer bag/box

“Ice Cream” for 2 people:

Ingredients:

  • 2 frozen bananas
  • A handful of fresh blueberries
  • 2-3 tbs unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp maple syrup

Preparation:

  1. Put all ingredients in a blender (you need a powerful blender for this, as there isn’t much liquid) and pulse until smooth.
  2. Serve immediately. You can add fresh blueberries on top for more goodness!

Crème glacée santé et rapide, sans machine… C’est possible! De plus, ça prend maximum 5 minutes de travail, ce qui rend le tout parfait pour les horaires chargées! Pour cette recette, vous avez besoin de bananes congelées. Vous pouvez les congeler le dimanche et les utiliser tout au long de la semaine.

Congélation des bananes:

  1. Couper 2 babanes mûres tranches de ½ pouce
  2. Mettre sur un papier parchemin dans une plaque de cuisson/assiette allant au congélateur
  3. Laisser au congélateur pendant 2 heures avant et transférer ensuite dans un sac/boîte à congeler

“Crème Glacée” pour 2 personnes

Ingrédients:

  • 2 bananes congelées
  • Une poignée de bleuets frais
  • 2-3 tbs lait d’amande non-sucré
  • ½ tsp grains de chia
  • 1 tsp sirop d’érable

Préparation:

  1. Mettre tous les ingredients dans un mélangeur (il en faut un puissant) et m.langer jusqu’à l’obtention d’un mélange lisse.
  2. Servir immédiatement. Vous pouvez ajouter des bleuets frais sur le dessus… C’est encore meilleur!
