The delicious seasonal strawberries are finally here! Beautiful, tasty and really affordable, they’re really a nice addition to so many dishes!
This strawberry crumple requires no baking and can be eaten as breakfast or dessert.
- 24 medium strawberries sliced into 4 pieces
- 2 tbs water
- 2 tsp chia seed
- 2 tbs maple syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup granola I used Nature's Path Organic
- Yogurt for topping or ice cream for a delicious summer dessert
In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add strawberries and water. Bring to a boil until the strawberries have softened (about 10 minutes in total)
Remove from heat and transfer into a bowl
Add chia seeds, vanilla extract and maple syrup and stir well. Leave on the counter to cool for about 15 minutes (or put in the refrigerator for later use)
Divide into serving bowls and add the granola
Top with dairy free yogurt (perfect breakfasor ice cream (perfect dessert)
Optional: top with a fresh mint leave
